In September 2002, LandAmerica Financial Group acquired Geodata Research Systems and it was renamed LandAmerica Title Search*. It is LandAmerica's strong financial backing that allows the system to be continually improved. LandAmerica Title Search is being constantly enhanced and upgraded. Data is always being added and the functionality continues to improve.
Recent enhancements include:
The capacity to search and retrieve records with increased speed.
The ability to retrieve old print lists and add instruments to them.
The capability to share print lists with other users.
The ability to download print lists as a single, multi-page PDF document.
Future plans include:
Adding 40 new counties within the upcoming months.
Adding images for a minimum of the past 10 years for all counties.
Adding plat maps and tract books, where available, for all counties.
